The ‘Norton Advent Project’ is a church led initiative to reach out to the whole Norton community during the Advent period.
The project brings together the church of St Mary’s with local primary schools and high street businesses, to bring the village to life!
2024
Planning of the 2024 project is under way. This year’s theme is Christmas Films
Building upon last year’s success, we will also have our Christmas Tree Festival happening at St Mary’s Church, watch this space!
2018
Building upon the success of the first year the high street once again was transformed with beautiful windows.
This year’s theme was the “12 days of Christmas” with each window portraying either a traditional image from the carol, or a religious equivalent.

2017
The first year of the project.
Local schools produced large ‘Stained Glass’ windows based on images of Advent.
These windows were then displayed in local business premises to create a larger than life advent calendar, revealing a new window during the run up to Christmas.
